My loving father Ramiro Marta Oquita passed away on All Souls Eve 2013. He was mercifully not in pain and did not suffer. His love was radiant and pure. His kindness and the depth of his love for all of his family shone gloriously until his passing and will undoubtedly be celebrated beyond in our lives. The brilliance of his mind and the richness of his creative spirit are illuminated in the legacy of his poetry, essays and short stories. We treasure him in our hearts and in our fond memories. His presence is felt in the compassion, support and unconditional love we continue to feel for one another. I am privileged and honored to have been a son to a man whose depth of soul and intellect were beyond measure. To all of you who knew him and loved him, may his light continue to shine within you.
